PSD Welcomes Kelly Lambert as PPS Principal

The Petal School District Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Kelly Lambert as principal at Petal Primary School at their monthly meeting on June 10, 2014. Lambert will replace current Principal Kim Raulston.
Lambert is a graduate of Petal High School and the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master’s of Education degree in Educational Leadership. He has taught elementary classes at Dixie Attendance Center for five years and has spent the past six years as a principal in the Forrest County School District. He is currently serving at the Principal at South Forrest Attendance Center in Brooklyn.
Lambert is excited to be joining the Petal School District and looks forward to working with the teachers, staff and parents of Petal Primary School to provide an outstanding educational experience for children in grades pre-kindergarten through second grade.
Superintendent Dr. Matt Dillon is pleased that Lambert will be joining the Petal School District.“We knew we needed to find a quality person to fill this important position working with our youngest students. I’m proud we were able to find a Petal native who understands the unique culture of our community and has the qualifications and experience that will enable him to continue the excellent work that is a tradition in this district.”

Lambert will begin his official duties in the Petal School District on July 1.
