Board of Trustees

The Petal School District Board of Trustees supports the district's mission and models its core values in all aspects of their lives.

The Board of Trustees is a five-member governing body responsible for our growing district. Through the board members' dedicated service and genuine interest in providing the best educational opportunities for students, the district has been able to recruit and retain an excellent staff of school administrators to lead the individual schools and departments.

Board Elections and Meetings

Each board member serves a five-year term. Terms of office are staggered, ensuring that a board member is elected or appointed each year.

The board meets regularly on the second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the ReD Lab, 209 Third Avenue in Petal.

Public Hearing of the Petal School District Board of Trustees will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at HCO located at 115 E Central Ave.

Special Called Meeting of the Petal School District Board of Trustees will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 7:30 a.m. at HCO located at 115 E Central Ave.
