    About Me

Welcome to 4th grade ELA and Social Studies! My name is Anne-Conner Dickerson, and I am very excited to be your teacher. We will have a year full of exciting adventures to expand the mind of our students.

A little bit about myself: I have Mississippi roots, but was raised in Houston, Texas. I moved back to Mississippi after high school to attend Ole Miss. I received a bachelor's degree in Journalism where I went on to work as the Television News Producer for the NBC affiliate in Tupelo. I had a change of heart to go back to school to become an educator. Before coming to Petal, I taught 5th grade in Jackson for two years. I am engaged to my college sweetheart, George. He is a medical student at William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

When I am not at school, I enjoy volunteering at animal rescues, traveling, spending time with my friends and family, cooking, running, and scrapbooking!
