• Parents or Legal Guardians (proof of guardianship is required for registration) ARE THE ONLY PERSONS ALLOWED TO ENROLL A STUDENT.

    For Kindergarten, your child must be 5 on or before September 1 of the current year.  

    If you registered your child for Pre-K in March/April, your registration is INCOMPLETE. It will have to be completed during this time in order for your child to start the first day of school.  


    The following documentation is required to complete enrollment of students new to our district:

    • ORIGINAL Birth Certificate
    • ORIGINAL MS Immunization Record from Health Dept. (new students only and all 7th graders)

     

    Must provide 1 of the folowing: AND provide 1 of the following:
    • Mortgage Document - Current receipt showing physical address
    • Deed
    • Lease Agreement - with effective dates or with current receipt
    • Electric Bill - with name & address (must be within 30 days)
    • Gas Bill - with name & address (must be within 30 days)
    • Water Bill - with name & address (must be within 30 days)

    Online Student Registration – ActiveParent

    I DO NOT have an ActiveParent account with Petal School District.

    1. Contact your child's school to obtain an account.
    2. After working with the school you will click here to login & register.
    3. Click the pastedGraphic.png symbol on the top-right of your ActiveParent main page.
    4. Enter the ActiveCode you were given from the school for your student.
    5. Choose the student from the drop-down box to begin registering.
    6. Proofs of residency are required to be given IN PERSON AT THE CORRECT SCHOOL.  
    7. Students are NOT registered for school until applicable residency proofs are received by the school.

     

    I DO have an ActiveParent account with Petal School District.

    1. If you already have an ActiveParent account (with Petal), log in to your account and click the pastedGraphic.pngsymbol on the top-right of the ActiveParent main page.  
    2. Choose your student from the drop-down box and continue to the registration process.
    3. If the student is not listed, please contact your child's school to obtain an ActiveCode.
    4. Proofs of residency are required to be given IN PERSON AT THE CORRECT SCHOOL.  
    5. Students are NOT registered for school until applicable residency proofs are received by the school.
