We are so excited to have the opportunity to get to know your child this year. We will spend the year digging into the past to make connections with how our culture today was greatly impacted by those of past civilizations.

 

Each day we will read, write, and work on speaking and listening skills. Mini lessons will be used to teach new skills for the sixth grade using the standards: reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, history, speaking, and listening. We will further develop the four types of writings your child has learned in previous years: narrative, analysis, argument, and informational.
