Mr. Andy Schoggin
Andy Schoggin serves as the Assistant Superintendent/Chief Operations Officer for the Petal School District and is responsible for day-to-day leadership and oversight of several departments. Andy’s responsibilities with the Petal School District will include overseeing several departments within the district, coordinating the district’s student registration/residency requirements, evaluation of the district’s curriculum and instructional practices, supervising the development of programs aligned with college/career readiness, and assisting the superintendent in the management of daily administrative tasks.
Andy earned his high school diploma from Bruce High School and earned Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from the University of Mississippi. He also earned a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Delta State University. He was a classroom teacher in the Marshall County School District and DeSoto County School District before becoming an Assistant Principal in DeSoto County in 2005. In 2011 he joined the Senatobia Municipal School District as Middle School and High School Principal. He most recently served in the Tupelo School District as Director of Athletics along with other administrative duties.
