Dr. Zach Bost, Principal
Dr. Bost is a family-oriented person with a deep passion for motivating and inspiring students. He will bring an “Above the Line” culture to the students and staff as we continue the tradition of excellence at Petal High School. Dr. Bost is married to Katie and together they have a son named Micah, who begins 1st grade at Petal Primary.
Dr. Bost received a Bachelors of Science from Mississippi State University (Hail State). He went on to earn a Masters degree from Arkansas State University in Educational Leadership. Lastly, Dr. Bost earned both his Specialists and Doctorate degrees from William Carey University majoring in Instructional and Educational Leadership.
Dr. Bost began his career as a biology teacher and coach. It was during this first stop that he was awarded teacher of the year and served as science department chair, PLC leader, district professional development facilitator, and finally an administrator.
Next Dr. Bost moved to George County as an assistant principal before being promoted to principal. During that time period George County schools’ received several statewide and national recognitions and in 2019 he became MAE Mississippi Principal of the Year.
