    SGM Dubose

    Sergeant Major Don DuBose was born in Hattiesburg, MS in 1965.  He graduated High School in 1983 and entered the United States Army the same year. After 4 years of active duty in the Army he returned home and joined the Mississippi Army National Guard where he served 20 years as an Active Member of the Active Guard Reserve Program.

    During his 24 years of service, SGM DuBose was stationed in various locations to include Germany. There he met his wife of 31 years, Anja Hinz DuBose.  Anja is a graduate of USM and works as a Computer Analyst for Georgia Pacific.

       SGM DuBose and his wife reside in the Dixie Community of Hattiesburg.  Together they have two sons, Dustin and Lukas ages 28 and 26.  Both of their sons are Officers in the Army and are married with one new Grandson.

    SGM DuBose holds a Bachelor of Science degree in History and a minor in Physical Education from William Carey University.  He is a member of the local Chapters of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.  He and his family are members of First Baptist Church of Purvis, MS.

    SGM DuBose taught JROTC for three years in Jefferson Davis County prior to coming to Petal in 2012 .  He is very grateful for the opportunity to work in the Petal School district and has a great passion for what he does in the JROTC program.

    When not at work SGM DuBose enjoys being with his family and keeping up their small farm in the Dixie Community. His hobbies include staying physically fit as well as riding his bicycle and playing golf.  SGM DuBose enjoys Military History, Riding Horses and Motorcycles, Fishing, Archery and Target shooting.

    SGM DuBose looks forward to many years at Petal High School and hopes to use his knowledge, skills, and values to prepare our young people for a successful future.
