    I have been in education for 29 years. I began my career as a 3rd-grade resource teacher and 4th-grade teacher at Quitman Upper Elementary. I taught 4th grade at Lamar School in Meridian for ten years and 6th grade at Magnolia Middle School in Meridian for one year. At Petal High School, I was an inclusion teacher for six years before moving to the intervention specialist position. I coordinate TST, credit recovery, and online courses.
     
    I received my bachelor's degree from Mississippi State University in elementary education K-8 with certification in special education K-12. I completed my master's degree in dyslexia therapy from William Carey University. 
     
    I am married to Mitch Peek, and we have three children - Addison, Sara-Ashley, and Hayden. All three graduated from Petal.
