Teaching is my passion!!!!! I love being able to see the "ah ha" moments in my students lives and I strive to make learning fun. From a very young age I knew that I loved people and I wanted to see others succeed. I had a horrible experience in 5th grade that made me despise school, I never want to be "that" teacher, I want to be the teacher I had in high school, that cared enough about me to go the extra mile, making sure I was successful.  Being in the classroom allows me to meet my students where they are and help them find ways for them to be successful, one step at a time.

 

I am married to Charles, who is the after school director/summer camp director at the YMCA and is the pastor at Indian Springs Baptist Church.  I am very active in my church and our college and career ministry.  I have two children and 3 furr babies. My son, Will, is a RN at Forrest General Hospital and my daughter is a USM graduate in music/military wife and lives in Georgia with her husband Sam.

 

I graduated from William Carey College with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education, with an endorsement in reading and special education, and a Master's of Education in Secondary Education.
