My name is Theresa Steele and I am one of four 6^th grade Star teachers.  I am going into my 27^th year of teaching; I am very excited about this school year.  I have taught various grade levels over the past 25 years in both general and special education classrooms.  I have three children; Russell, Trey and Carter.  I have a beautiful granddaughter by the name of Olivia. She is my little baby doll.  Petal has been my home for over 50 years now. I am a product of the Petal School District, and will continue to give back to the community that I have called home for so many years.  Upon graduating from Petal High School in 1987, I enrolled in Jones County Junior College, leaving there to attend University of Southern Mississippi, graduating in 1984.  It was several years later before returning to school that I received my Masters from William Carey College.
