I am a Petal Panther through and through. I have lived here since I was 7 years old. I am a graduate of Petal High School. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from The University of Southern Mississippi, my Master's of Education Degree, and my Specialist Degree from William Carey University.
In addition, I have an endorsement in gifted education, and I am also a National Board Certified Teacher. Just like my students, I am a life long learner!
I have been teaching since 2003, and most of those years have been in 3rd and 4th grades.
I am married to Joey, and we have a precious daughter, Josie. She keeps us busy with showchoir, and her many extra curriculuar activities. We also have a Cockapoo named Maddie who is spoiled rotten!
Some of my favorite things include shopping at Target and TJ Maxx (or really anywhere), working in my yard (I am a "plant lady"), Diet Coke, Disney World, eating out (especially Newks, Chick-Fil-A, and Los Charros), rainbow cookies from Jody's Bakery, going to the beach, reading, listening to music, singing, and being involved in my church.
I also enjoy watching sports, especially cheering for the Petal Panthers, the Ole Miss Rebels, and the New Orleans Saints! I also cheer for the Cleveland Browns because one of my former students now plays for them!
