Hello! I am so excited to be your child's 8th grade ELA teacher this year at Petal Middle! I graduated from Louisiana State University with a bachelor's degree in Mass Communication with a concentration in Political Communication and minors in English and History. I am currently pursuing a master's degree in higher education at William Carey. I love love love literature, history, politics and philosophy so much so that in my spare time, I am constantly watching documentaries, listening to podcasts or talking about things I've learned with my friends and family. I also love travelling to other countries and have a profound interest in learning about other cultures. I think literature is a way that everyone no matter their resources or ability to travel and see things can expose themselves to new avenues of thinking and seeing the world. I know I will learn so much from my students this year and hope they will do the same from having been in my class.
