About Me
I love Elementary Education!  I am rewarded everyday by the smiles and energy our students bring to Petal Primary School.  In the beginning of my career in the Petal School District I taught first grade and second grade.  Currently, I am the intervention specialist and spend a lot of time helping students, teachers and parents. Every year is new and adventurous.  It brings pure joy to watch a child grow academically and socially through the guidance of my colleagues and peers.  Our children are our future and my goal is to give them every opportunity to be a successful learner. To rise above their obstacles and believe that "they CAN."
In my personal time, I enjoy my active family.  I have a fun husband that keeps life interesting and together we are blessed with 3 beautiful children.  They are each very different and keep us on our toes. We are constantly on the go with their activities, friends and school. I would have it no other way!
    My Education
I am a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi.  I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in reading.  I have a  masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction and earned my administrator's license in 2011.
I found my niche' as Intervention Specialist at PPS and will stick to it as long as they'll have me. I love working closely with parents and teachers. It is a joy getting to know their children and figuring out the pieces to their puzzle. Each child is unique and learns at their own pace. Every child can grow to their fullest potential and I feel it is my responsibility as an educator to make sure they have every opoportunity to get there.
