• Mr. Pippin

    Mr. Pippin is in his 9th year as a band director and his first year with the Petal School District. Mr. Pippin will be serving as Director of Middle School Bands and Associate
    High School Director. 

    Mr. Pippin is originally from Fairhope, Alabama and is a graduate of Fairhope High School. During his high school career as a musician, he was able to sit principal horn in Fairhope’s top band his junior and senior year. Also, during his junior and senior year, Mr. Pippin was selected to participate in the Alabama All-State Band. Upon completion of his High School Diploma, Mr. Pippin received a music scholarship to the University of Mobile to be a part a traveling Brass and Percussion Ensemble. This ensemble gave Mr. Pippin the opportunity to travel the United States and even some International trips, including a trip to Moscow, Russia. During Mr. Pippin's time at the University of Mobile, he was able to sit principal horn in the symphonic band, opera workshop, chamber ensemble, as well as in the pit for the musical theatre productions. While attending college, Mr. Pippin was selected to be a part of the Drum and Bugle Corps known as The Glassmen. This allowed him to travel the United States and compete professionally with some of his closest friends. 

    After attending University of Mobile, Mr. Pippin took a Graduate Assistant position at William Carey University, where he was able to be a part of starting the indoor marching group known as The Spirit of Carey. While attending William Carey University he was able to be the band director for Lamar Christian School. After four years at both William Carey and Lamar Christian, Mr. Pippin was hired to be the director of bands for West Marion High School. Mr. Pippin taught four years here before joining the Petal Team.
