    Virtual Summer Camps

    Game On

    Who: Students who were in 5th/6th grade 2019-2020

    What: Each camp includes five days of interactive lessons and activities to complete at your own pace.

    When: Camps begin June 8 and are open all summer.
    Teachers will be available to answer questions and provide feedback June 8 - 26 and July 6 - 24. They will also provide feedback and incentives when school resumes in the fall.

    Where: Camp activities will be completed virtually from home. We will have paper versions of camp activities available by request.

    How: Join the Google Classrooms using the codes provided for the virtual camps in which you’d like to participate. Complete all of the camps to earn bonus incentives!

    Why: Keep the brain active and engaged to decrease summer learning loss. Students who do not read in the summer lose three months of learning gains, while those who do read maintain their learning gains and add a bonus month!

    Let’s do some Summer reading!! Grab a good book & read! You can read outside, when you travel, at the pool, or anywhere! Let us know what books you are reading by filling out a Book Review. There are some fun incentives!

    Enjoy a mixture of math activities that incorporate skill review, problem solving, games, and hands on learning. This menu will allow you to choose from a variety of activities that cover both 5th and 6th grade topics.

    Have you ever considered how the environment and the living things surrounding it interact with one another? Science Summer Club will allow you to explore ecosystems and discover the unique qualities they each possess.

    Technology based jobs are in high demand in the 21st century, even through COVID19! Coding Camp will introduce you to computer coding, which will help develop problem-solving skills, logic and creativity.

    Get an introduction to the instruments we play in band, how they work, what they sound like, and how to play them. We will also learn how to read and write music and other concepts we use in band everyday. Did you know you've been breathing wrong most of your life?!?!?!

    Art camp provides children a wonderful introduction to several forms of visual art. In our online art camp, each day brings a new project that may include drawing, painting, origami, or sculpture. Gogh... join the class and enjoy the fun!

    Music camp will explore a new element of music each day. Some of these elements include composing, melody, and rhythm. Students will learn the basics of reading music and be given the opportunity to create music of their own. Music brings people together, come explore with us!
