Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! I'm looking forward to a great year at Petal Middle School! I want to thank you for the opportunity to teach your students. This is my sixth year in education. I will be serving this year as the 8th grade inclusion teacher for Mississippi Studies and Intro to World Geography. I also teach the Resource Math class for 7th and 8th grade. I proudly serve as an assistant coach for the Petal Panthers Middle School football team. I spent 18 years in sales before answering the call on my life to teach and coach. I graduated with my bachelor's degree from William Carey University in 2017. I majored in Physical Education and minored in History. I also hold certifications in mild/moderate disabilities and SpEd Fundamental Subjects. I'm a National Board Certified Teacher for Early Adolescence Social Studies. I'm currently pursuing my Masters Degree in History from Liberty University.  I'm originally from Columbia, MS, where I graduated from East Marion High School in 2000. I now live in Petal with my wife, Keri, and our blended family of 5 children.

I look forward to serving your students this year, whether in the classroom or on the football field. In the social studies/history classroom, I will serve as an additional layer of support for students to assure they grasp concepts being taught or assist them with tasks/assignments in class. In my Resource Math class, we will focus on those gaps in fundamental math skills, money skills, etc. The majority of assignments will be done on a Chromebook. Students will use Canvas,  Khan Academy, Get More Math, Edulastic etc.
