Mrs. Brooklyn Raymond
I grew up in Southern California where I graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education and taught Pre-Kindergarten for 6 years. I moved to Mississippi in 2014 and taught in the Wayne County School District for 3 years. While working there, I taught 3rd and 4th grade and coached middle school cheerleading.
I am entering my fifth year teaching 5th grade ELA and Social Studies at PUE, and my 13th year teaching overall. My husband Joe works with the United States Army National Guard as a BLC instructor at Camp Shelby. We live in Hattiesburg with our three-year-old twins Jackson and Calliope. I am currently working on my master's degree in elementary education at William Carey University and will be graduating in May!
In my free time, I enjoy reading, running, and cycling on my Peloton bike. I enjoy traveling, especially to Disney parks around the world. My favorite color is pink, and you can usually find me drinking either a cup of coffee or a diet Pepsi (depending on the time of day).
Please visit and bookmark my Google site, as I will be updating it weekly with assignments, announcements, and information about what is going on in our classroom!
I am looking forward to meeting all of my new students and getting to know them over the coming year! I already know we will have the best time together!
