Karen John, Special Education Teacher
Hello! My name is Karen John, and I am the Multidisability/Community Base teacher. I have been teaching for the past 19 years. I started my career in Louisiana where I taught 11 years at Sunset Middle School as a Special Education teacher (Emotional Behavior Disability, Inclusion, Self-Contained, Life Skills). I am a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, where I received my Bachelor's, University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where I received my second Bachelor’s and William Carey University where I received my Master's degree in Special Education.
I am excited about being a part of the Petal Panther family for year number two. I LOVE teaching and preparing students for real life experiences. I strongly believe that ALL students have a right to quality educational opportunities. I am grateful to be given the opportunity to create and implement learning experiences that are meaningful and engaging.
