AP Calculus AB
Welcome! The Calculus / AP Calculus AB course is a 2 credit course intended to introduce students to Calculus and to prepare them for the Advanced Placement Exam. Students can receive college credit for calculus if they score well on the A.P. Exam.
AP Calculus AB focuses on students’ understanding of calculus concepts and provides experience with methods and applications. Although computation competence is an important outcome, the main emphasis is on a multirepresentational approach to calculus, with concepts, results, and problems being expressed graphically, numerically, analytically, and verbally.
AP Calculus AB is roughly equivalent to a first semester college calculus course devoted to topics in differential and integral calculus.
