Mrs. Trista Whitman

Hi, my name is Trista, and this is my first year at Petal High School. I am the Head Girls' Basketball coach, the assistant 9th grade boys' basketball coach, and I also teach PE. I was a student athlete at the University of Alabama, as well as UAB, where I received my Bachelors Degree in Independent Studies and my Masters in Public Administration and Policy. I have a husband, Cole, and we (incredibly!) have four dogs and a cat. 

I hope to foster an environment that promotes growth in students, not only in their athletic development but also in the classroom, their community, and their personal lives. I value meeting students where they are and empowering them to access their full potential. I am a member of Venture Church, and also help with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes organization at Petal High School. I am so excited about being a Petal Panther!
