Parents of Petal Middle School Students,
What a strange way to start the 4th nine weeks of the 2019-2020 school year. We acknowledge the unfamiliar nature and stress of this extended closure for our students and parents. We are sure there are many things weighing heavy on your mind as you and your student(s) work to navigate this time. Our teachers and staff members are experiencing some of those same feelings as we look to maintain our connection with our students and families.
As you have already been informed, we are working diligently on our At-Home Learning plan. Our teachers and staff will continually be available to you and your student(s) as these weeks go by. We will work to keep you up-to-date on any changes or updates that may occur concerning: learning, grades, extracurricular activities, etc.
Communication is extremely important during this time. Please remind your student(s) to check their Google Classrooms and emails daily. We will be using all of these avenues and more to communicate announcements and changes that may occur.
This uncertain time has brought new challenges for all of us. We will face them as they come and find new and inventive ways to move forward and always be Better Together. We believe in the strength of this community and know that we will all come out stronger on the other side of these strange times.
We look forward to seeing all of our students when safety can be assured. As we wait for that day, please be earnest in keeping up with all the information we push-out via websites, social media, emails, phone calls and Google Classroom. If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to teachers, staff and administrators via email. You can find all of our contact information on our website at Petalschools.com.
We wish you well and remember: always DO THE RIGHT THING and GO PANTHERS!
