• Advanced Art Students competed in the South MS Art Association's Juried High School Art Show.  Select students were chosen to compete for cash awards.  Other participating schools high schools were Hattiesburg, Oak Grove, and Presbyterian Christian.  Students from each school were awarded a 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place as well as an honorable mention.  One artwork was chosen Best in Show from all artworks entered.

    PHS Sophomore Kyleigh Kinsey won Best in Show from among all the participating schools for her oil pastel drawing titled "Pandemic Self-Portrait".

  • Hattiesburg Arts Council High School Loft Exhibit 2020

  • Several art students had their artwork featured at the 2019 Hattiesburg Arts Council High School Loft Exhibit.

  • Several art students had their work exhibited at the 2019 MS High School Drawing Exhibition held at the USM Gallery of Art.  Kaylee Holmes was honored with an Award of Excellence for her drawing titled A Tiger.  Other participants in the exhibition were Molly Grace Finch, Yasmin Saleh, Jack Riley Grace, Madi Lee, Bailey Sims, Danielle Tucker, Christian Sandoval, and Randall Price.

Cara and Alyx WCU
  • Alyx Oliver and Cara Ellington competed in the 2019 William Carey Scholarship Competition.  Alyx was awarded Honorable Mention for her painting Breathless.

Randall Self Portrait
  • Randall Price won 2nd Place in drawing for his self portrait oil pastel in a local art competition sponsored by the Cosmopolitan Club.

  • Several art students had their artwork featured at the 2019 Hattiesburg Arts Council High School Loft Exhibit.

Cara USM
  • Cara Ellington was presented with an Award of Excellence for her drawing Golden Girl at the 2018 MS High School Drawing Competiton hosted by USM.
