It shall be the sole responsibility of each licensed employee to keep their teaching license current.

     Effective Monday, July 17, 2017, all licensure renewal requests must be submitted directly to the Office of Educator Licensure for processing.

    Applicants should mail their completed licensure application and original certificates of earned required number of continuing education units, and/or required number of coursework credit hours on an official sealed transcript (application and transcript may also be submitted electronically via ELMS) to Post Office Box 771, Jackson, MS 39205. 


    A current copy of each teachers/administrators license must be kept on file in the Human Resource Department. In order to be recommended for employment for an upcoming school year, a teacher must have a license that is valid for that year. A teacher cannot be recommended for employment without a valid license for the year he/she is seeking to be employed.
