     Before any student can register to attend, legal residency within the school district’s boundaries must be proven.  Families whose primary residence is outside of the boundaries are NOT eligible to attend Petal Schools.  Therefore, proof of residency is required for all students.  To establish residence, two documents must be presented in person.  One document from Column A and one document from Column B must be presented at the time of registration. 


    These are the only documents that will be accepted to establish residency and enroll students in the Petal School District.

    Column A:
     
      
    • Mortgage Document – current receipt showing physical address
    • Lease – with effective dates or current receipt
    • Deed

    Column B:

    ONLY utility bills dated JUNE 18, 2017, and after will be accepted for verification.

     

    • Electric bill w/name and address (within 30 days)
    • Gas bill w/name and address (within 30 days)
    • Water bill w/name and address (within 30 days)
      

    Returning Students
    Registration for proving residency for the 2017-2018 school year will be the week of July 17th thru July 21st from 7:00am to 6:00pm. All students will register at Petal Primary School on these dates (this includes incoming Kindergarten students who pre-registered in the Spring).

     

    Activity Fee ($25) will be collected during Registration

    New Students:
    Registration will be held at the individual school sites July 25-26 from 8:00am-3:00pm.
