COLLEGE DAY at PHS 

College Day was hosted at Petal High School on October 20, 2015 for 11th and 12th grade students. Approximately 75 visitors represented over 20 colleges and military organizations for the event.  Special Thanks:  The following Career and Technical Education students and their teachers and were instrumental in the success of College Day: Culinary Arts, Digital Media Technology, Marketing & Teacher Academy.We would like to thank the college and military organizations for graciously providing door prizes for our students. Also, the following businesses donated gift cards that were awarded as door prizes to the representatives present: Fox’s Pizza Den (Petal), Tabella’s, Chesterfield’s, Patio 44, Newk’s, Half Shell Oyster House, Cotton Blues, El Mariachi Loco, Chili’s (Petal), and Georgia Blue.


Students receiving dual credit for USM English 101 and PHS English IV took a tour of USM's campus on October 14, 2015. They received scholarship information, and met with faculty members from the Colleges of Business, Education and Psychology, and Science and Technology. They also met with the director of USM's Writing Center. In the pictures students surround the sculpture "Lofty Return" in Scianna Hall. A big thanks to Alden Bennett in the Office of Admissions for lining up a fun and productive day. SMTTT!
