WELCOME PARENTS AND STUDENTS
Our course includes the ancient world cultures of the Eastern Hemisphere including Egypt, India, Mesopotamia, China, Greece, Rome, and Europe.
I hope to instill an excitement for learning as we discover amazing new information about ancient cultures through new archaeological discoveries and technological advances in the study of these artifacts. We use the information gained by the latest tools available as ancient artifacts are continually studied.
I believe that through the study of various cultures, we learn more about ourselves and others which helps us prepare for the "real  world" workplace which will include people from many of these cultures.
My class is active and learner-oriented. We learn together as we use critical thinking skills to analyze the processes used by ancient people to create civilizations.
During the past three years, we were honored to connect with a teacher in China.  Her name is May Lee.  We used skype, blogging, email and epals to connect with a classroom of students across the globe! We were able to learn about their culture and share ours with them. We hope to connect with other classrooms around the globe.
It is my goal through these web pages to allow my students to share as much of their learning experience with you as possible. We will do many activities and projects throughout the year .
  • There is very little homework for my class, however students will need to study for tests which will be given bi-weekly.
  • The Africam video is here: http://www.africam.com
  • My Activities page has many games, activities, and simulations that enhance our curriculum.
  • I have many resources available on my World History page.
